The Charming Lady

It started as a shadow
turning into shades
getting transformed to shower
burning in its shine
the colour of a sapphire
with meaning as sublime
as the contours of Sahara
as if whispering in solitude
rising up as a smoke.
There it was- smiling-
the lady with the sundew.
She had splendour
and she was serene,
her face flushing with shyness
the looks of a flustering sheep
ready to get into a sheath
shrinking into her own self
and shaking like a September sampling.
What she wanted and what she said
the Senorita guarded her own secrecy
She was live with life and wet in scarf,
she winked her eyes and sent the signals
such was the charisma and such a spark.
Was she real or was she a spectre,
was she for sure or was she a surprise
for sure she had a surgical smile
like the waves surfing on the sea.
The nearer I went the farther she swept
the swirl and the swerve so sadly svelte.
At last the eyes were fixed on the scene
and there she was-
a picture in the sky
supple, surcharged, supernal and supine

The Long Pathway

When he saw the lady the first day
he did not know that she was married to some one else
all that he could understand was
that he was madly in love.
Whether it was lust or infatuation
he decided or an urge to have her body and soul
he would have her
with all the might he had.
He had her address within a day
and the next day he was at her house
there he found her husband and kids
but he was not to bother about them all.
He introduced himself as a banker
having come to negotiate some business
hiding the fact from the poor man
he wanted to buy nothing but his wife.
A small conversation they had
in tit-bits about weather and market
he came out happier than ever
he now knew exactly where was his life.
The next day he came in daytime
so that he would find the lady alone
she was surprised to see him again
but courtesy kept her tied.
He again babbled the same thing
they had a cup of coffee together
he appreciated her house and décor
and she accepted them with hesitation.
But when the man was up again
the same time the very next day
the woman got more frightened than surprised
knowing not what it was he had really come for.
This time she did not ask for any drink
but he was shameless to propose tea
she left with no option
had to sit down those extra moments in front of him.
When her husband came
she told him what had been happening for the last two days
the simple man also got perturbed
he now wanted to know who this stranger was.
When he came back again
as if as part of his routine
the wife opened the door
and the husband remained hidden behind.
This time the man showed his true colours
he came near the lady
touched her body gently
and made her indecent proposals.
The lady was taken aback
she reacted angrily and violently
but this was not to dampen his spirit
for him they were small impediments in his desire.
He caught hold of her tightly
putting his face near hers
he was now breathing heavily
his eyes sparkling with disgust.
Now it was time for the husband to come in action
he came out in the open
pushing the man harshly and briskly
he saved his wife from the man.
He overcome the stranger
and got him tied to a door
he called the police in the vicinity
it came within no time.
Today the man spends his hours behind the bar
he has been placed in solitary confinement
but all that he thinks is of
the lady that he loved.
He has chalked out his plan meticulously
the moment he is out of the jail
he will go to her house armed,
kill the husband and take away the wife.
He has even thought of the children
they will be sent to the nearest orphanage
the one which is run by his family
where he will provide everything they would want.

A New Beginning

Singing in the rains
Alone in the garden
he was willing to smile
for, at last, his pain was over
he had been relieved
of the body that had caged him for years
distorted, disfigured and decaying
dying every day and yet persisting.
It was a long wait
it was a long watch
a story full of pathos
and a tale replete with ironical vibes.

The First Sin

The First Sin

The heavy breathing of the man
is enough to let every one know
that he has committed a crime
”The First Sin” as Adam would have called it
the coming together of ideas and minds
the conjugation of likes and dislikes
the communion of left and right
and the communication between shape and size.
As in a well-rehearsed sequence
being played for ages and generations
repeatedly, unknowingly or is it deliberately
the major players coming to the stage
showing all preparedness
trying to be calm and quite
suppressing the intense feelings
and yet being exuberant with intensity
raising hopes and aspirations
rising the crescendo
uplifting the expectations
hue and cry, passion, action
heat and dust, blood, toil
motion, force, thrust
and the logical culmination
It becomes a complete path
coming back to the place
from where it had all begun
This is what it is
A great human story
told in multifold colors
umpteen number of times.
